Ronald T. Ackerman, MD, FACOG
Dr. Ronald T. Ackerman is a Board Certified Gynecologist who, after a notable career in obstetrics and gynecology since 1984, has recently limited his practice to gynecology only. He was the founding director of Your New Life Center at Palms West Hospital and served as the Chief of Gynecology and Obstetrics for several years as well as the Vice-Chairman of the Board.
Dr. Ackerman has authored and co-authored numerous scientific publications in medical journals and has been honored by the North American Menopausal Society for his research in treating menopausal women. Additionally, Dr. Ackerman is an educator of medical students and Physician Assistants and holds many medical school staff appointments.

Marcos R. Kornstein, MD, FACOG.
Dr. Marcos Kornstein was born and raised in Argentina. He attended Medical School at National University of Cordoba in Argentina. After moving to the United States, he completed his internship at Westchester County Medical Center in New York and his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Beth Israel Medical Center. He then went on to a clinical research fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine and High Risk Obstetrics at the Nassau County Medical Center.
After moving to the United States in 1972, he completed his internship at Westchester County Medical Center in New York and his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Beth Israel Medical Center.
Dr. Kornstein has been in practice since 1977 and has been on staff at Palms West Hospital since 1998. He became board certified in 1979 and has been a Fellow in the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology since 1981. Because of his commitment to continuing education, Dr. Kornstein has voluntarily re-certified with the American Board of OBGyn every year since 1995.

Raul C. Valdescruz, MD
Dr. Valdescruz was born in Cuba and emigrated to the United States as a child. He was raised in Illinois and received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Chicago. He completed his medical school at the University Of Illinois and did his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the renowned Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas.
Dr. Valdescruz is a native Spanish speaker and has been in practice in Palm Beach County since 1991. From January 2004 to December 2005 he served as the Chief of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at Palms West Hospital. He has been elected by his fellow physicians to be Department Chairperson in 2012.

Steven Pliskow, MD, FACOG, FACFE.
Dr. Steven Pliskow is a Board Certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist. Having completed the prestigious 6-year accelerated BS-MD program at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Albany Medical College of Union University, he received his specialty training at the University of Miami Jackson Memorial Hospital. He has supervised the family planning clinic at the University of Miami. He is Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Palms West Hospital and the HCA East Florida Physician Leader for the OB Clinical Workgroup.
He has numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals, including new innovative techniques for treating life-threatening obstetric and gynecologic disorders. Dr. Steven Pliskow is also Board Certified in Forensic Medicine and is among the elite few Forensic Obstetricians and Gynecologists in the country.

Sharon Dai, MD, FACOG
Dr. Xiaorong (Sharon) Dai was born and raised in China. She received her medical education both in China and the United States. After graduating from West China University of Medical Sciences, she completed 5 years of OB/GYN residency training and began practicing in China. As an accomplished Gynecologist, she further developed an interest in endometriosis and began a fellowship to explore the risk and management of this complicated disease. She received advanced laparoscopic surgical training in the diagnosis and treatment of pelvic pain and endometriosis. She also received further training in vulvar and vaginal re-construction surgical techniques during this time.
Dr. Dai (pronounced “Day”) moved to the United States in 1993 and completed a 6 month mini-residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in Miami Beach focusing on infectious disease, anesthesiology, general surgery and internal medicine before entering her second OB/GYN residency in the United States.
Dr. Dai has been practicing in West Palm Beach and Wellington since July 2005; she obtained OB/GYN board certification in July 2007. Her ultimate ambition is to provide excellent medical service and consultation to women and adolescents in our community.

Joshua S. Ackerman, MD, MMS.
Joshua S. Ackerman, MD is a Board Eligible Obstetrician and Gynecologist. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Washington University in St. Louis, and his Master of Medical Science degree before receiving his Medical Doctorate degree from the American University School of Medicine. Specializing in advanced laparoscopic techniques, Dr. Ackerman is one of few Obstetrician/Gynecologists in the area who is experienced with the Da Vinci ™ Robotic Surgical System. He has published numerous articles on his scientific research in current medical journals. Dr. Ackerman has also been honored by Long Island Jewish Medical Center and Mount Sinai Hospital School of Medicine for his expertise in training residents in their Obstetrics and Gynecology residency programs.
